How do I submit an application‍

The application procedure will be changed in 2026. From all applications, a maximum of 20 applications will be chosen in an initial selection that will be submitted to the board. Documentaries and feature films are not eligible. In principle, the total project may not cost more than 70,000 euros. The maximum amount to request is 10,000. A total of approximately 30,000 euros is paid out annually. Applications that do not meet the stated requirements will not be processed. Submit an application by email with one PDF file (max 10 MB) that is easy to read and formatted in A4 format (portrait). At the beginning, include a table of contents with page numbers and a short summary with (1) the name of the artist (with year of birth and country of origin), (2) title and type of project and (3) total costs (max. 70,000) and the requested amount. Include at least the following information in the application:

• Information about the applicant (if not the artist) and CV of the artist
• Title and a brief description of the project, if possible with any visual material (teaser, moodboard, research, etc.)
• Description of the innovative/experimental character
• Other information such as format of the film, layout of the exhibition
• Timetable (start, completion)
• Where and when the project is presented for the first time
• Budget (costs should be realistic, market-conforming and cost-efficient, and as far as possible specified and elaborated).
• Coverage plan (other funds, possible own contribution).
• Information about previous work (portfolio), in case of film with titles, vimeolinks and passwords.
